Treatment Description
Our feet carry our weight every day yet we rarely take care of them until we feel some discomfort or pain. The foot and the ankle combined have 26 bones, 33 joints and over 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments. The feet are like a map of the whole body. They have more than 7200 nerve endings corresponding to different parts of the body. Stimulating them can have the same therapeutic effect as a full body massage. During the massage you will remain fully clothed. I use a base oil in the water for foot bath that is a combination of organic oils - sunflower, apricot kernel, wheatgerm. Essential oils like Frankincense, Lavender and Orange are then blended into the base oil. However these essential oils may vary: do please let me know if you have any allergies or intolerances. For the bath you'll be sitting on a chair or a sofa and after the foot bath you may be moved to a mat on the floor or if you continue in seated position then you have a stool or chair to support your legs. Please note that if you have certain conditions I will not be able to give you a treatment. These include athlete's foot (tinea pedis), verrucas (plantar warts), foot ulcers, active gout, nail fungal infection (onychomycosis), or chilblains. Please contact me to discuss details and book.
